How FleetPride’s Digital Strategy Keeps America’s Fleets Moving
Austin, TX—On a new episode of the Driven by DCKAP podcast, Kevin Weadick, CEO of FleetPride, shares his journey from finance to supply chain leadership and how he’s driving digital transformation to meet the evolving needs of the heavy-duty parts and service industry. His conversation with Karthik Chidambaram, CEO of DCKAP, offers a rare look at the intersection of technology, customer service, and operational excellence, reinforcing FleetPride’s mission to “keep the country running.”
Key Highlights:
- Technology as a Competitive Edge: FleetPride’s investments in e-commerce and digital solutions enable real-time parts availability and a seamless customer experience.
- Taking Risks: Weadick shares how his willingness to take on new roles and embrace different aspects of the business helped his career.
- Building a Purpose-Driven Business: With a focus on operational efficiency, FleetPride is ensuring fleets get back on the road faster, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Technology That Meets Customers Where They Are
FleetPride’s digital strategy is designed to help customers get the parts and service they need when they need them.
“Our customers have revenue-generating assets. If their truck is down, they’re not making money. Our job is to make sure they have the parts and service they need,” Weadick said.
FleetPride’s extensive e-commerce capabilities enable customers—from independent owner-operators to national fleets—to access the needed parts with real-time inventory visibility across over 300 locations. FleetPride is using digital tools to simplify purchasing and logistics, ensuring customers get the parts they need quickly in an industry where downtime is costly.
Saying Yes to Opportunity
Kevin Weadick’s path to leading FleetPride was anything but linear. After starting his career at PwC as a CPA, he quickly found himself more drawn to supply chain operations than balance sheets. His experience at Grainger—where he took on roles spanning purchasing, inventory management, and category leadership—helped him develop a well-rounded view of distribution.
His willingness to take risks, work in international markets, and embrace different aspects of the business ultimately prepared him for his leadership roles at Zoro and FleetPride. By working in different functions and geographies, Weadick gained “the context I needed to make decisions that drive value for customers,” he said.
Keeping America Moving
FleetPride is focused on keeping the country running by ensuring fleets have the parts and service they need. This customer-first approach drives everything from supply chain decisions to service availability.
Weadick emphasizes that investing in skilled technicians and frontline employees is just as critical as optimizing supply chains. Through FleetPride University, the company is addressing the growing demand for trained diesel technicians, ensuring fleets have the service and support they need.
