A lot of the time while giving a demo or talking about vizB, we often get this question!

“How is this different from Google Analytics?”

So here’s a brief comparison of vizB and Google Analytics

Introduction

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic.

vizB is an eCommerce analytics platform that tracks orders, customers, and products data of an eCommerce store and provides descriptive and predictive analytics. vizB tracks user’s actions i.e orders data rather than pageviews.

Actual Users vs Cookies

Google Analytics uses browsers cookies to identify unique users which fail to identify the same users across multiple devices.

vizB uses user’s actual data to track them, instead of relying on cookies.

Cohort

Google Analytics does provide cohort but again as I mentioned earlier it’s based on user’s pageviews and cookies.

vizB provides cohort analysis based on customer’s orders.

Predictive analytics

Google Analytics provides you with your past and current data.

vizB in addition to your current and past data, also forecasts, which is helpful in decision making.

Bounce rate & Loyal Customers.

Google Analytics gives you insights on Visitors, Bounce rate, Time spent on site.

vizB provides you insights on New, Loyal, Repeat, Winback, and Churn Customers.

Ordering Source vs Delivering Source

Google Analytics tracks your visitor’s IP and provides Geographical Insights.

vizB gets the location data from the user’s order, providing more accurate information on where you’ve shipped your products.

Product Scorecard

Google Analytics provides you with top-selling products based on Product revenue but again it’s all based on cookies.

vizB has access to your products data, it not only provides you with a product scorecard but also shows Inventory status and variant analysis.

Note:  User’s can opt-out of Google Analytics tracking so there’s a possibility of data being inaccurate. Since vizB has access to your store database, the data is accurate.

When to use Google Analytics

  • To track your website traffic, clicks and impression.
  • To analyze Bounce Rate, Time Spent on your website, Source, and medium through which users are interacting with your site.

When to use vizB?

  • To identify and segment your customers based on their purchase history.
  • In-depth analysis of your orders, customers, and product data.
  • Predict your future outcomes for better decision-making.
